As one famous baseball man said, if you listen too closely to the fans, you'll soon be sitting among them.
The Flyers have obvious decided that Bryzgalov is either going to get his game right or die trying. He needs to play better and he needs to recapture his pre-HBO form.
Not sure derisive nicknames are the best approach, but then again, there's no rooting in the pressbox, either. Bryzgalov has shown he can rebound from a bad run in the past, and there's no reason to suspect that he can't do it again.
If he can not, then Bobrovsky will get his shot. I wouldn't be against Bobrovsky getting a few of the "tougher" games on the schedule in the near future, because he won't be seeing Carolina or the Isles in the playoffs, if he wins the job. |
